Music Orchestration Services

CyClops Percussion has many years experience in music orchestration services. From solo to large ensemble and everything in between we can handle any request. Music Engraving

Music engraving or engravement, is the art of drawing music notation at a high quality for the purpose of mechanical reproduction. Have written music that needs to be transformed into professional, publish quality, computer-generated work? Want your compositions to be taken seriously by a publishing company? A technique known as Computer Music Engraving, or simply Computer Engraving can turn your handwritten music into publish quality, professional music.

We use Finale 2008 (the latest in professional notation sofware) to transform any piece into computer engraved, professionally printed music. Your performers or students will thank you!

Music Transposition

Music transposition is the act of taking a piece of music and putting it in a different key. This is a great service for singers. Whether raised or lowered by a step or a fifth or an octave, the finished transposition will look nearly identical to your original. Same page turns, same articulations, even chord symbols. That way there are no suprises for your accompanist. If you are able to scan the music you can email it to us for the fastest turn around time. If not, simply contact us for a mailing address, and we will mail you back your original parts, along with emailing you pdf files of your "new" piece. That way you will have your new transposed parts as soon as possible.

Music Transcription

We can transcribe your music from an audio source (CD, cassette, MP3, etc.) into professionally engraved computer printed music. Any size ensemble, any duration. We can also just do a small section of a recording. Simply email us the audio file, or mail us the media of your choice. We offer transcription services in tablature format, standard format, or both. Please contact us for a quote.

Backing Tracks

A backing track is an audio or MIDI recording, which musicians play or sing along to in order to add parts to their music which would be impractical to perform live. We provide atleast 2 parts; the backing track and the click track. The backing track can be as many virtual or actual tracks as you would like. For post production purposes we can send an Adat tape, or email you a Sonar (Cakewalk) file. CyClops Percusion has a full, professional grade recording studio to provide you with the highest quality service. We can also create simple WAV, MP3 or MIDI files of your backing track if post-producton isn't necessary.

Part Extraction

Have a score that you want parts for? Just missing one part? CyClops Percussion can replace or reproduce those missing parts!

Piano Reduction

Piano Reduction is sheet music for the piano (a Piano Score) that was once music for other instruments that was reduced to its most basic components within a two line staff for piano. CyClops Percussion can take any orchestral piece and reduce it to a piano score with your specific skill level in mind.

A lead sheet is form of music notation the describes the melody, lyrics and harmony of a song. The melody is written in traditional music notation, the lyric is written as text below the staff and the harmony is described by chord symbols above the staff. Music Parts Editing / Music Score Editing

Is your group planning on playing Robert Schumann, Schubert, Mendelssohn, or Dvorak? Then you know that you will at least need timpani edits. We offer full score re-orchestration or just simple part by part re-orchestration. We appreciate that you, as the conductor, have to be the one to make the final decision regarding how much part editing or re-orchestration is done, so we will work very closely with you to make sure that you are satisfied.
